Auckland is on New Zealand's north Island and is the Countries biggest city. It's waterside location has earned it's nickname " City of Sails".

Auckland sprawls over a narrow strip of land between Waitemata and Manukau Harbours. Rainforests soar over the surrounding landscape, with over 40  dormant volcanoes dotted around the island.

The city enjoys a warm coastal climate, seeing all four seasons with no extreme temperatures. Auckland is the sunniest City in New Zealand with over 2000 hours of sunshine a year! Located in the summer hemisphere Auckland seasonsa are the opposite to the UK. Their summer runs between December to February, Autumn from March to May, Winter from June to August and Spring from September to November.

Auckland is a nature lovers paradise with coastal rainforest, black sand beaches and the pristine bush to explore. Auckland also has numerous walking tracks and great shorelines for surf.

For those wanting to explore attractions and architecture Auckland has all of the main activities you would expect of a big city; amusement parks, zoos, museums, art galleries and landscaped parks, may of which are free or relatively in expensive to visit.

One great way to take in the views of the city is to climb over Auckland Harbour Bridge, spanning the Waitemata Harbour you will encounter breathtaking views of the whole city from the top of your climb.
