North and North East of San Francisco you will find the wine country with unspoilt countryside allowing many vineyard visits, hot air baloon rides and Mountain activities of Lake Tahoe including ski and snowboard holidays.

Further East you can discover the great outdoors at Yosemite National Park. Kings Canyon National Park and Mammoth Lakes.

Down in San Diego you can relax in one of the many lagoons or check out the city life down near the Mexican border.

For those who like the heat Palm Springs is an excellent choice for a relaxing break with guaranteed heat or a great game of golf. Palm Springs is an ideal winter destination as temeperatures in the height of the summer can reach over 45 degrees centigrade.
