7 Night Itinerary
Monday
Arrive at Luxor airport. Meet and greet by a local representative and transfer to the Esadaora II. Check in to your cabin before dinner and over night on board.
Tuesday
Enjoy your first sunrise as we take a morning excursion to Luxor Temple. Following this the afternoon is free for leisure as we set sail for Esna.
Wednesday
Morning sightseeing of Edfu, and the extraordinary Temple of Horus; the mythical son of Isis and Osiris. Here, legend says, Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by defeating his father's brother Seth in combat. Following this we sail on to Kom Ombo , where we visit the temple dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sobek was the crocodile god of Nile fertility before sailing onto Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.
Thursday
An early departure if the optional excursion to Abu Simbel by air has been chosen. Lunch on board and then afternoon excursion visiting the high dam, which controls the flow of the Nile; an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. Dinner and overnight board.
Friday
Morning excursion to Philae Temple. A short boat trip is taken to the Temple of Philae dedicated to the Egyptian God Isis. Lunch on board and then afternoon free for leisure as we set sail for Luxor. Dinner and overnight board.
Saturday
Enjoy excursions to the Necropolis of Thebes, better known as the West Bank of Luxor and also Karnak Temple. On the West Bank visit the Valley of the Kings and the tombs of the new kingdom pharaohs; including Tutankhamen and Ramses the Great. After this we move to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut with its 3 terraces before a photo stop at the imposing Colossi of Memnon. Following this visit Karnak Temple with its magnificent 138 columns. Karnak is the biggest temple complex in the world. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
Sunday
Today is free for leisure, possibly to enjoy an optional trip. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
Monday
Morning free for leisure. Lunch on board then transfer to the airport for your flight home.
